According to the calendar, it’s supposed to be winter…but as of recently, the weather has been exceptionally nice. Weirdly enough, this Midwest winter has turned out to be the complete opposite of the usual; sunny skies and 60 degrees. With no snow in sight, I’ve been trying to take advantage of these perfect days and what better way than to do a little blog post?

This recent weather forecast is what everyone has been needing in order to mix some of their favorite winter and spring pieces together. For starters, I am obsessing over these vintage Levi’s; what used to be deemed ‘mom jeans’ are now a fringed, high-waisted culotte pant thanks to a pair of scissors and a go-around in the dryer. A perfect transitional piece into spring, these culottes have a casual, comfy vibe and are able to be paired with more than just a t-shirt. Not to mention, these cut-off Levi’s are a perfect excuse to rock these lace-up heels. Again, these low heels are something that I occasionally wear in the winter but are definitly more suitable for spring; the nude color and velvet fabrication is not something that I want to dirty in the snow. With hopes of moving to NYC in a few months, I’ve been attempting to pull things out of my closet to either get rid of clothing pieces entirely or change how the clothing is worn to give it a new life. As far as this shimmery tank goes, this is a go-to top when going out. To switch it up a bit, I incorporated this top into a daytime look to get more wear out of it; throw on a basic leather jacket overtop for when it gets chilly and who knew a potential day-to-night look could be so easy? Circle sunnies, a printed green ascot, an old leather belt, and dainty gold jewelry pull the look together for a lovely Wednesday in ‘spring’.

Per usual, a little shoutout to my friend, Kylie, who kills it behind the camera. Always happy to find friends who are just as in love with fashion as I am. If you’re ever interested in doing a collab, I’d love to chat. Feel free to reach out to me on my contact page and don’t be shy; I’m open to anything. Thanks for reading and happy hump day!

XXX,

Cassidy
